NextStep’s April Update

Excited to share this month’s NextStep update!
TL;DR ⚡
- We leveled up our content creation on social — more posts, more reels, and integration across social platforms.
- We are finalizing a career education/internship program with a venture fund that invests in women of color-owned companies.
- We finished our pitch deck and sharing it with potential investors.
Asks and shout-outs 🙋
- Shout out to Blaire, our finance lead, for owning our pitch deck and making sure it’s beautiful while also telling our story, growth opportunities, and success.
- We are continuing our formal partnerships initiative. Looking for introductions to (1) HR or DEI representatives at mid to large enterprises, (2) companies/organizations dedicated to improving outcomes for underrepresented communities, or (3) career advisors at colleges and universities.
- We are still looking to raise capital through grants and pitch competitions. If you see any come across for education, career development, or for women-owned or minority-owned, please pass those along!
Highlights 🔥
- Our pitch deck is ready to share!
- We’ve released three episodes of our podcast Informal Education covering negotiation, values, and DEI.
- Our LinkedIn page view is up 13% MoM, early indicators that our integrated social strategy is working.
Lowlights 😢
- We’re hard to find on Google. Talking to SEO subject matter experts to get NextStep’s website, content, and podcast ranked higher so you can find us easier.
’Til the next 10th,
Erin
